The Red Carpet Salute is the signature event of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. – Queens (NY) Alumni Chapter in partnership with, and in support of the Dr. Gerald W. Deas Achievement Foundation (Queens Alumni’s charitable arm). This dynamic initiative is designed to raise critical funds and awareness for the Foundation’s impactful programs - most notably QA Without Borders, which advances our mission to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion in the fields of science. technology, engineering, art and math. Through strategic outreach, community engagement, and powerful storytelling, The Red Carpet Salute serves as a rallying point for change makers, educators, and supporters committed to breaking barriers and building opportunities for underrepresented talent across the globe. The Red Carpet Salute directly supports The Dr. Gerald W. Deas Achievement Foundation’s mission to empower and uplift students aged 12 to 18 in Queens County, New York. We are dedicated to nurturing their self-confidence, self-esteem, and untapped potential for achievement and personal/career success. We provide accessible and cost-effective supplementary education, after-school tutoring, and mentoring services, covering areas such as mathematics, reading, writing, job preparation, and personal mentoring, including life coaching. Our commitment extends to inspiring and supporting these young individuals to not only stay in school, but to also graduate, pursue higher education or vocational training, and ultimately become responsible, self-reliant adults. Through our unwavering dedication, we aim to contribute to a brighter future for the students and the Queens County community as a whole.
